Unlike at some airports where rental desks are scattered throughout the terminal, Malmö Airport has a convenient and centralized Car Rental Center. All major rental car companies are located together in a single, dedicated area.

You will find the Car Rental Center on the ground floor of the main multi-story car park (P-huset in Swedish). This building is located directly across from the main terminal building, making it easily accessible on foot just moments after you exit the arrivals hall.

Once you have located your rental company's desk, the agent will process your paperwork. After you have signed the rental agreement, the agent will hand you the keys and direct you to your vehicle.

The rental cars are parked on the upper levels of the same multi-story car park where the desks are located. You will simply take an elevator or stairs from the rental office area up to the designated floor. Your rental agent will tell you the exact floor and parking bay number where your car is waiting.

When your trip is complete, returning your car is just as straightforward as picking it up.

As you drive back towards Malmö Airport, follow the road signs for the airport terminal. As you get closer, look specifically for signs indicating "Rental Car Return" or "Hyrbilar Retur."

These signs will guide you back to the same multi-story car park where you began your journey. Drive up the ramp and look for the designated return lane or parking area for your specific rental company. Park the car in an appropriate spot, gather your belongings, and lock the vehicle.

Proceed to the rental desks on the ground floor to return the keys and finalize your contract. If you are returning the car after hours, all companies provide a secure key drop-box. Be sure to confirm the after-hours return procedure with the staff when you first pick up the car.
